Guided Tours

We can recommend a wonderful guided tour by a friend Caterina. She is Venetian but speaks impeccable English. She is also an art historian and really knows her stuff. If you would like further information about her guided tours, please ask us. We would ask you to pay her directly.

Pharmacy

An excellent pharmacy can be found 5 minutes walk towards Zattere.

Restaurants

Venice abounds with restaurants that cater for all needs and pockets. However for proximity, you can't beat the Ristorante Riviera. It specialises in excellent seafood and the husband and wife owners, Luca and Monica, are very friendly and will make your visit very personal. In addition they will give you a 10% discount off their menu while you are staying in our apartment. They have become our friends and are always willing to offer help and advice to those renting our apartment. There are other restaurants close by along the Zattere. Alternatively, the lively Campo Santa Margherita is only 10 minutes walk. Here you will find plenty of restaurants and some very lively bars to choose from. We can also recommend the coffee at Causins or the Tonolo bar which is on the corner beyond the church of San Pantalone. A great place from which to start your day!

Markets

In the nearby Campo Santa Margherita there are daily vegetable, fruit and flower stalls as well as fish stalls selling a wide variety of seafood. It is however important to know that the food stalls are closed on Wednesday afternoons.

Vaporetto Stop (waterbus)

The nearest stop is San Basilio and is only 1 minute walk from the apartment. It is regularly served by the No. 2 vaporetto amongst others. The Zattere stop is four minutes walk away where you can also catch the Alilaguna (red line) to and from Marco Polo airport.
