By Air

There are regular flights from many European cities to Venice Marco Polo airport, the closest airport to Venice. From there a regular bus service (Cost 6 Euros return) takes you to Piazzale Roma approximately 20 minutes. From Piazzale Roma take the No.2 Vaporetto (waterbus) to San Basilio where it is only a 1 minute walk to the apartment. The fastest way (20 minutes) is to take a taxi all the way to San Basilio (35-40 Euros one way) then a three minute walk to the apartment. Alternatively take the Alilaguna water bus from the airport (12 Euros approx) to Zattere and it takes about 1 hour 20 minutes and then walk along towards San Basilio. The most romantic, stylish way is by water taxi from the airport direct to San Basilio (Cost 80 Euros approx).

Ryanair flies from a number of cities to Venice Treviso airport from where you can take a bus to Piazzale Roma (Cost 9 Euros return) approximately 70 minutes. Then follow the directions as above.

By Rail

There are regular trains from many European cities. From the train station take the Vaporetto (water bus) from Ferrovia stop, just outside the station, to San Basilio or Zattere then a short walk to the apartment.

By Car

Cars are not much use in Venice but if you do come by car there is a multi-storey car park at Piazza la Roma and also at Tronchetto, but parking is expensive here (24 Euros per day approx). You can then get the No.2 Vaporetto from either Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto to San Basilio. A cheaper place to park is outside Venice at Mestre and then take a bus to Piazzale Roma or train into Venice and then follow directions as above.
